- Getting your international education or credentials recognized in Canada

Qualifying jobs
Job offers must qualify for the Rural Community Immigration Pilot in the West Kootenay region (includes all of the Regional District of Central Kootenay and Most of Regional District of Kootenay Boundary, see map for more details).

Interested job seekers must apply directly to designated West Kootenay employers following the instructions outlined in the job advertisement.
The West Kootenay Rural Community Immigration Pilot does not provide job matching services. Do not send resumes or cover letters to the West Kootenay Rural Community Immigration Pilot or Community Futures Central Kootenay.
Employers will not be accepting inquiries from third parties (e.g., immigration consultants) regarding job applications.
Next Steps
Securing employment or a job offer does not guarantee a community recommendation or permanent residence through the West Kootenay Rural Community Immigration Pilot.
Once you have a valid job offer from a designated employer (list will be provided once the pilot launches), they will send your community recommendation application directly to the West Kootenay Rural Community Immigration Pilot to review.
West Kootenay Rural Community Immigration Pilot will check to make sure
- your job is in a priority sector or occupation and the offer is real
- you meet all the requirements for the pilot
If the West Kootenay Rural Community Immigration Pilot decides to recommend you, you can apply for permanent residence.
