January 7, 2026: We continue to experience a very high volume of inquiries. At this time we are prioritizing processing community recommendation applications that were received between July and September 2025 as well as Employer Designations. If you have already reached out through the contact form, there is no need to send a follow-up message, your communication has been received. Thank you for your patience and please note it may take up to two months for you to receive a response.
This is an employer-driven immigration pilot, and employers are responsible for submitting applications on behalf of the skilled workers they want to hire/ retain. For this reason, our priority is supporting employers who are seeking designation and planning to submit recommendation applications.
We received many inquiries from applicants. We ask that you read through the website before contacting us. We don’t respond to emails from people looking for help finding a job, as this is not the role of the West Kootenay Rural Community Immigration Pilot staff.
