July 7, 2024: We continue to experience a very high volume of inquiries. Employers, please note that once the Community Recommendation Applications open, it may take up to two months to receive a reply to your request to become designated.
This is an employer-driven immigration pilot, and employers are responsible for submitting applications on behalf of the skilled workers they want to hire/ retain. For this reason, our priority is supporting employers who are seeking designation and planning to submit recommendation applications.
We received many inquiries from applicants. We ask that you read through the website before contacting us. We don’t respond to emails from people looking for help finding a job, as this is not the role of the West Kootenay Rural Community Immigration Pilot staff.

- If you’re an employer who tried to contact us between June 10-18, please resubmit your message as your response may have been missed due to an issue with the form.
